My name is Blake Zapletal and I am pleased to serve as the 5th and 6th grade teacher at St. Ann’s Catholic School. I look forward to sharing the gifts God has given me to provide a solid Catholic education to all students in my class. It is my goal to ensure that each student is encouraged to reach his or her greatest academic and spiritual potential.
I am very proud to be a product of the Catholic school system. After graduating from both St. Ann’s Catholic School in Carthage and McAuley High School in Joplin, I earned an Associate Degree in Science from Pratt Community College in Pratt, KS, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Missouri State University in Springfield. I hold certifications to teach grades 5 through 9 and 9 through 12.
My wife Betty and I have been married 25 years and have three sons. Our family has been active in St. Ann’s Church and School for 21 years. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and reading. I have special interest in studying the Catholic Catechism and United States and World History.
